When Ben Moore and his cousin, Jacob Douglas, decided to make the move to North Stoneham Park, they had more good reasons than most to buy their first home in Eastleigh’s fabulous new community setting.
‘We were both first-time buyers and determined to find a new home that would be a good long-term investment and would tick all the boxes,’ explained Ben. ‘To get our feet onto the property ladder we needed to buy a house together, but Help to Buy was the only way we could afford a brand new home. We wanted to find a property that was in a great location and would reduce our travel to work time – we both travel in different directions so we knew that would be a big ask.’
Ben and Jacob visited the Marketing Suite to see if a house at the Park was an option. The two-bedroom Woburn home that caught their eye was still a shell without a roof, but its proximity to the main road that didn’t feature any associated traffic noise played a big part in their decision to reserve it there and then.
Then there was the location itself; with the Places Leisure centre, plenty of local shops, a railway station and airport close by, North Stoneham Park really did tick every box on the list.
‘We now have a great new house in a great location with everything on our doorstep,’ agreed Jacob. ‘And it’s surprisingly quiet at night too – we can leave the windows open and not hear a thing – we’re really enjoying Park Life!’
