The ingenious work of an internationally renowned artist is to be showcased at North Stoneham Park in an exciting move by Eastleigh Borough Council to bring thought-provoking art, quite literally, closer to home.
Michael Pinsky is a celebrated British artist who has been commissioned to develop a series of permanent art ‘interventions’ throughout all areas of the Park.
His work has been shown across the globe from TATE Britain to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chengdu, China and, with a focus on issues that influence the public realm, he is also a determined urban planner, activist and researcher. He is known for taking on work without an agenda, choosing instead to work with local people and resources and to be guided by the physical, social and political environment that goes on to shape his projects.
